By enquiring, booking, or boarding a Tanjong Sails vessel, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please take a moment to read them carefully before confirming your charter.

- "Company", "we", "us", "our" — Tanjong Sails Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore.
- "Charter" — any vessel hire arrangement booked through Tanjong Sails, including but not limited to the City Skyline Cruise, Diving Day Charter, and South China Sea Expedition.
- "Guest" / "You" — the individual making a booking and any persons travelling on the charter.
- "Lead Guest" — the person whose name appears on the booking confirmation and who takes responsibility for all guests on board.
- "Vessel" — any yacht or watercraft operated by Tanjong Sails under a confirmed charter agreement.
- "Crew" — the captain, cook, dive instructor, and any other Tanjong Sails staff assigned to a charter.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and your relationship with Tanjong Sails as a customer. By submitting an enquiry, completing a booking, or boarding a vessel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into a charter agreement with us. Minors may participate in a charter only under the direct supervision of a Lead Guest who is 18 or over and who accepts responsibility on their behalf.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with a booking.

Tanjong Sails offers the following charter services from Singapore:
- City Skyline Cruise — a two-hour evening circuit through Marina Bay and the southern waterfront for up to twelve guests. Includes welcome drinks and small bites. Departs from the Clifford Pier area. Charter price: S$570.
- Diving Day Charter — an eight-hour charter with two dive sessions near Pulau Hantu for up to ten guests. Includes PADI-certified instruction, full dive gear, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Price: S$2,500.
- South China Sea Expedition — a four-day, three-night passage through the Riau Archipelago for up to six guests. Includes three ensuite cabins, full crew, all meals, reef diving, and line fishing. Price: S$4,700.
Charter details, including departure points and inclusions, are confirmed at the time of booking. We reserve the right to modify itineraries where required by weather, sea conditions, or maritime authority requirements.

- All bookings are subject to vessel availability and confirmation by Tanjong Sails.
- A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from us and payment of the applicable deposit.
- The Lead Guest is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions.
- Guest counts stated at booking cannot be exceeded; bringing additional guests without prior written consent will result in cancellation of the charter with no refund.
- Tanjong Sails reserves the right to decline a booking at its reasonable discretion.

- All prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD / S$) and include applicable goods and services tax (GST) unless stated otherwise.
- A deposit of 50% of the charter fee is due at the time of booking confirmation.
- The remaining balance is due seven (7) days before the charter departure date.
- For bookings made within seven days of departure, full payment is due immediately upon confirmation.
- Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking. We do not store card details on our systems.

Cancellation by Guest
- More than 14 days before departure: 80% of total charter fee refunded
- 7–14 days before departure: 50% of total charter fee refunded
- Less than 7 days before departure: no refund
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The cancellation date is the date we receive the written notice.
Cancellation by Tanjong Sails
We may cancel a charter in the following circumstances:
- Weather or sea conditions: where the captain determines it is not safe to proceed, a full refund will be offered or the charter rescheduled at no additional cost
- Vessel technical issues: a full refund will be provided
- Misconduct: where a Guest has breached these Terms, no refund is due

All guests are expected to behave in a manner that is safe, respectful, and considerate to crew and fellow guests. The following conduct is not permitted:
- Bringing aboard illegal substances or prohibited items under Singapore law
- Behaving in a threatening, abusive, or intoxicated manner toward crew or other guests
- Ignoring safety instructions issued by the captain or crew
- Bringing additional guests beyond the confirmed booking count
- Smoking in areas of the vessel not designated for that purpose
- Discharging any waste or foreign matter into the sea
The captain has the authority to terminate a charter and return to port if any guest poses a risk to safety or engages in prohibited conduct. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

- All guests must comply with safety briefings delivered by the crew before departure and at any point during the charter.
- Life jackets must be worn when instructed to do so by the captain. Life-saving equipment must not be tampered with or misused.
- Diving guests must hold valid certifications appropriate to the planned dive sites, or participate under the direct supervision of our PADI-certified instructor. It is the guest's responsibility to disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to dive safely.
- The captain's decisions regarding navigation, safety, and itinerary are final. Guests must not attempt to interfere with vessel controls or crew operations.
- Tanjong Sails operates under licences issued by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). All guests must comply with MPA and Singapore Customs requirements when applicable, including for multi-day expeditions crossing into Indonesian waters.

All content on this website — including text, photographs, graphics, the Tanjong Sails name and logo — is the property of Tanjong Sails Pte. Ltd. and protected under applicable Singapore intellectual property law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any part of our content for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Guests are welcome to photograph their charter experience for personal, non-commercial use. Any commercial use of images or footage captured on our vessels requires written authorisation.

Our services are provided in good faith and with professional care. However:
- We do not warrant that itineraries will proceed exactly as described. Sea conditions, weather, and maritime regulations may require adjustments.
- Marine wildlife sightings, dive visibility, and fishing outcomes are subject to natural conditions and cannot be assured in advance.
- Our website content is provided for information purposes and does not constitute professional advice of any kind.
- We are not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged during a charter. Guests are encouraged to leave valuables at home or ensure they have appropriate personal insurance.

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Tanjong Sails' total liability for any claim arising from a charter shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific charter.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including loss of income, loss of opportunity, or distress arising from any aspect of our services or their disruption.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

You agree to indemnify Tanjong Sails, its officers, crew, and representatives against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misconduct during a charter, or any activity you engage in that causes harm to other guests, crew, or the vessel.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or in connection with a charter or these Terms shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If a resolution cannot be reached within thirty (30) days, either party may refer the matter to mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre before commencing formal legal proceedings.
The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved through negotiation or mediation.

Tanjong Sails may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For bookings already confirmed, the Terms in force at the time of confirmation apply unless we notify you otherwise. Continued use of our services following a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
